One of the great pleasures of a Quentin Tarantino soundtrack is knowing that it won't be a standard modern-day soundtrack, filled with filler and acts that the label is trying to break. Instead, it will consist of music that even hardcore record collectors will find unusual or at least ripe for revival. The soundtrack to the first volume of his revenge epic Kill Bill blended those two inclinations, but the soundtrack to the second film is almost nothing but unusual music. Some names are familiar, but the music isn't -- there are three selections from Ennio Morricone, rockabilly cult hero Charlie Feathers makes his second Kill Bill appearance, Johnny Cash's latter-day 'A Satisfied Man' is here, and Malcolm McLaren's 'About Her' is a clever trip-hop spin on the Zombies' 'She's Not There.' The rest is devoted to music that sounds like the soundtrack to a Mexican spaghetti Western, which really isn't all that far off from what large parts of Kill Bill, Vol. 2 actually is. This makes for a unified soundtrack album, but one that lacks the immediate impact of Kill Bill, Vol. 1, since nothing is as gripping upon the first listen as the haunting 'Twisted Nerve,' the mesmerizing funk of 'Battle Without Honor or Humility,' or the crazed intensity of the 5.6.7.8's' version of 'Woo Hoo.' That said, it is cinematic, unpredictable, and absorbing, gaining resonance after a viewing of the film, as all good soundtracks do; it only pales in comparison to its predecessor, which was good not just as a soundtrack, but as an album of its own account.

Lily Chou-Chou: If Miyazaki was a bit insane.
Some days ago I talked about Confessions(my favorite movie from Japan and favorite movie in general) and now I have to talk another one that I really apreciate. All About Lily Chou-Chou is a movie I like to describe as 'a Miyazaki film if Myiazaki was a live action director and was a bit insane'. Those who watched it may find my description a bit absurd and those who have not may go watch it with high expectations. I can justify my description because if you look up to many of the movie's scenes, they're completely contemplative, with only the photography, the soundtrack(one of my favorites ever) and just isolation/emptyness of the characters to tell a great story;something that,as you may know,Myiazaki does better than anybody, with Chihiro's train ride,Sophie's rest time, etc. But the movie is also highly disturbing,as the violence that these teens experience is pretty rough and sad(that's why I think the 'Myiazaki' in question should be insane). Shunji Iwai was able to reach me because of the Ghibli vibes he created during those highly contemplative and undescribably beautiful moments and the contrast with the brutality of other scenes and the plot in general. The movie is not perfect,it is a bit hard to follow the story and some scenes look a bit too amateurishly made, but I really enjoy it,it has one of my favorite photography works and the soundtrack is forever on my playlists. What do you guys think about it?

All About Lily Chou-chou Movie
GD
Today I’ll introduce the OST of my all time favorite movie, All About Lily Chou-Chou – written and directed by Iwai Shunji. The director himself and the film have already had their own popularity so I won’t say anything about them here… except, this movie is the most important art piece that influenced me, the one I see most of myself in. So, I don’t care what people talking about it, praising or criticizing, I love All About Lily Chou-Chou and everything about it, that’s enough. ‘_’ v

Arabesque – All About Lily Chou-Chou OST

Shin koihime musou ps2 iso. And we learned that Kazuto is not a human. I mean, any normal human would wake up already, no matter how exhausted.
Arranged by Kobayashi Takeshi, most of the soundtracks are inspired from Claude Debussy’s pieces – Arabesque and some others, then a little Japanese traditional music. You don’t need to watch the movie to feel the beauty of the soundtracks, I think…

Breathe

The other CD is Breathe – in the movie it was a Lily Chou-Chou’s release. But Lily Chou-Chou is no real, so she actually is Iwai Shunji, Kobayashi Takeshi and Salyu.
Talking the truth, I don’t really enjoy much of Salyu’s music, but Breathe is always the breathe I need… (sorry, can’t stop being a fangirl *___* ).
Actually, I heard more than 3 people said that they don’t like Lily’s music at all,. well I can understand. The first time watching the film, I felt those tracks were somehow freaky, they’re just weird and depressive… but as I continue listening to the songs, my heart melts inside the sounds.
Here are the three MVs of Salyu/Lily Chou-Chou, if you haven’t watched the movie yet you can try these to take a glimpse at the movie’s atmosphere.
Kyomei- Kuukyo na Ishi –> this one is featured in the movie at some scenes.
Tobenai Tsubasa –> some scenes of the movie are featured in this one.
